Who’s Behind Ofbit.Org

Hi, I’m Ruban Paul, the founder and writer behind Ofbit.Org.

I’ve spent 12+ years working in the IT industry, starting out as a freelancer and educator before moving into hands-on technical roles – Desktop Support Specialist at an MNC IT company, then Network Administrator, and now working as a Lead Security Analyst, managing a security team in a data centre environment. Along the way, I’ve earned a couple of industry certifications in Security, Networking, and Cloud.

Alongside my day-to-day work, I’ve spent years training students to pass industry certification exams, including CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, RHEL, etc. That experience – breaking down technical, often intimidating topics into steps a beginner can actually follow – is exactly what I bring to every tutorial on this site.

Why I Started Ofbit.Org

Somewhere between troubleshooting technical issues by day and teaching certification prep by night, I kept running into the same problem: most tutorials online are either too shallow to actually help or too dense for someone just starting out.

Ofbit.Org exists to fix that gap – practical, step-by-step tutorials written the way I’d explain them to a student sitting across from me. No fluff, no unnecessary jargon – just clear explanations with real examples you can follow along with.
